Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Her debut came in a Bond movie, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989, she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by a aspiring photographer. Her career has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule she carried over to her acting. In 1985, following being noticed by the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody is only 18 when she played the part of Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. She is the tiniest Bond Girl to date. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. Doody performed the role of Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. in 2004, Doody was in the film in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
